this book is very inspiring because nowadays us teens think our parents are "mean" but this book not only made me cry but showed me my life really isn't that bad.

AWESOME book

I read this book years and years ago and I will admit, it broke my heart. This is one of those books that grabs you and holds onto you in each and every page. David Pelzer aslo has two more books that are a sequel to this book. (The Lost Boy & A Man Named Dave) They're all amazing.

Hello i am Angelique lemon and in the eight grade and attends David elllis academy west! I am a good friend of Kayla. I read the book and it was very good and had a life lesson i learned form it. I think there are other books to the series.
