Alice in the Know is about a girl named Alice, just trying to figure out how to enjoy the summer of her junior year. She finds how real world jobs work, depends on friends that are with her through everything, and tolerates a family that is small but is always big in her life.

I really enjoy reading Phyllis' books. When I start to read them, I have a hard time putting them down. She writes as though she knows what a real teenagers life is like so it is very easy to imagine yourself as the main character. When the character feels an emotion, you want to feel it to.

Overall I would recommend this book along with her others. My life is always full of emotions and when I read this book I felt like I was not the only one with trouble in my life.
