Vidalia Dip & Broccoli Casserole

Homemade Gourmet Recipe 1: Vidalia Dip
Source: Jean (Gonzaga High School Hockey Mom whose husband was a chef at the white house)

Vidalia Onion Dip In a bowl, mix together these ingredients

  • 1 Vidalia (or sweet) onion, chopped small

  • 1 1/2 cups mayo, (not lite or fat free)

  • 1 1/2 cups Parmesan (imported or grated)

You'll Also Need:

  • 1 loaf of white bread

Cut bread rounds with a cutter (a pastry circular cutter or you can use any cookie cutter) about the size of a half dollar. Toast Lightly.

Spread the mixed ingredients on the bread rounds.

Broil until brown.


Homemade Gourmet Recipe 2: Broccoli Casserole
Source: Grandma Mary (a Georgia native with a flair for the Southern Style)

Ingredients

  • 2 10 oz. packages chopped frozen broccoli

  • Generous 3/4 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/2 cup sour cream

  • 2 cups grated cheddar cheese

Broccoli Casserole Cook Broccoli for 5 minutes. Drain.

Mix all ingredients together with the cooked broccoli. Pour in casserole dish. Top with extra grated cheddar cheese.

Bake at 350 for 30 to 45 minutes. You want a creamy texture with a layer of bubbling cheese on top.
