On July 5, 2020 Yisroel and Leah's world was rocked by a few loud BOOM's. From that moment on, nothing they knew would ever be the same again. The beginning of the end seems to have been initiated by a terrorist attack on New York City. Bridges are down, electricity is gone, and people are fleeing for their lives. Yisroel and Leah feel particularly vulnerable being Jewish in a time where Judaism is not well recepted.
So starts their long journey to find their children and travel to their holy land, Israel. As long as they keep their faith, both Yisroel and Leah feel they will survive.
Follow this brave couple as they attempt to surmount the impossible with the grace of God leading the way.
| Book Club Picks: 2020 Vision Opinion |

I was certain this book would be about the end of the world. I was sure it would keep me up worrying about terrorist attacks at night. I actually felt apprehensive agreeing to interview this author, figuring I'd never make it through such a bleak subject.
Boy was I wrong! The book is all of those things - bleak, scary, terrorist-filled, and sad. More importantly, however, this is a book of hope and of survival. It's a story that shows even in a world of chaos, humans can live righetously and with faith that their God will help them through. The obstacles that Yisroel and Leah encounter are enough to make any person scared but they handle everything with such perserverance and serenity, it's impossible not to admire their fortitude.
I'm not sure I would recommend this to book clubs as it has a very religious tone and if you are worried about offending varying viewpoints, it could make for an uncomfortable meeting. I would recommend it on an individual basis as no matter what religion you are, the acceptance of God in our lives is universal.
