Explain
the reason you took off from the business world to spend quiet time with God.
 I
was sitting at my desk one day, and I was given one of the clearest signals I have ever received. I knew it was time to leave the family business.
I believe that one purpose in my leaving was for me to separate myself from my family, because I needed to find my identity in God, as opposed
to my identity in this world, which was as the youngest son. At the same time, I was also running from a situation of being unhappy at what I
was doing. I thought that I should be doing something spiritual, something "grander." So I was given a clear signal to leave, but at the same
time I was running. I left about 5-6 years ago, and I went back several years ago. The interim period of 2.5 years was one where I had an extended
period to get away from the world and listen to God. I grew a lot in this period, both in the emotional and spiritual arenas. Emotionally, I continued
the course that my long history of intense therapy had put me on, and I became an adult, as opposed to being stuck as a twelve to thirteen year
old who had suffered abuse. Spiritually, I grew in my awareness of my Oneness with God and Her Love for me.

You
say at the beginning of the book - "May these pages lead you to non understanding for God is infinite? How can we understand something that is
infinite?" - These words are very true. Do you think you were successful in helping the reader to understand this?
I
think the book plots a course where the reader can identify with the logic that is presented as well as times where the reader is transported
out of their everyday mind. Non understanding means that the mind is taken to a much higher perspective than what the limited mind of your
personality sees. Moving to a higher perspective helps you to see that you are a wave in an infinite ocean. How does the wave fit in to the
ocean? What is the degree of separation? Is it part of the ocean or the whole ocean? By asking questions, we can see that we can't truly
understand. To understand something, that "something" must be finite. The mind cannot grasp the concept of infinity.

Each
chapter is filled with statements and heavy introspective questioning. Would you tell book club readers to take it a chapter at a time so they
can wrap their minds and understanding around each revelation?
I
think that you should take it at the pace that fits best for you, which for most may be a chapter or even a statement at a time. I mention in the
foreword that the space between the statements is as important as the statements themselves. The words are not Truth. They are only steppingstones
which may point you to Truth, but words are descriptions, and God Is. God is all that is. Once you use a word to describe God or something in
this process, you have already put God in a box which does not exist. God is stillness. The rhythm of reading the statements contrasted with
the stillness in between the statements is similar to the rhythm of Life.

How
important do you think it is for us to "still" our minds?
Our
minds are already still. That is our natural state, because we are One with God. The busyness of the world creates all this static which makes
us believe that our minds are not still and that we are something we are not. But when we remember the stillness that we are, we also find the
peace and the joy that is inherent.

Do
you feel your book was successful in depicting for readers what you learned through revelations?
I
think the book is successful in detailing my journey back to God. I say back, but actually we have never left that one eternal moment of creation.
I am amazed by the diverse comments from people about how various chapters and statements speak to them in different ways, so I think the book
has something for most people, whether you are new to the path or whether you have recognized yourself on a path for a while. It would probably
be rare that everything in the book speaks to someone, because the revelations are filtered through me and my experiences. Plus the book touches
on a wide variety of areas. I hope that the book will help people to remember who they truly are.

Will
you continue to write in the spiritual genre? Do you feel you have more to share?
I
have a large amount of revelations that did not go in to this book, so we will see where God takes me. I am writing a blog on my website,
www.lawrencedoochin.com, that is within the same spiritual realm as what is in the book. I feel that I have more to share, but I never know
when and how that will come up, and I trust that God will lead me in each moment.

Any
other projects in the works for you right now?
We
stay fairly busy with 4 active kids, and my wife has a health and wellness business doing detoxification modalities such as colonics, far infrared
sauna therapy, and several others. I have been doing radio shows and book signings, and I anticipate this will continue.
