Five stars for Amber Dawn Bell's Cave of Terror
by: Tamara

Cave of Terror is a thoroughly attention-grabbing young adult paranormal romance. This first book in the Vânãtor series is compelling and a fast read. It captures the energy of young first love and spins an intriguing romance for young Cheyenne Wilde, the first Vânãtor in five hundred years--born to hunt evil. Can't wait to see what fate has in store for Cheyenne Wilde, her soul mate Ryan, and her best friend, Mandy...
Evil beware...There's a new Vânãtor in town!

Best YA in years
by: Lindsay

Cave of Terror isn't your typical paranormal vampire read. It's a story about a sixteen year old gymnast who wants nothing more than to lead a normal life. Well, as normal as a sixteen year old girl who spends five hours a day in the gym can be. Unfortunately, she finds that near impossible once she learns she's not only a vampire but a hunter of evil as well.
What makes this story so compelling is you experience Cheyenne Wilde through her eyes, actions, thoughts and feelings. From the first touch on her hand by Ryan, who calls her `Sparky,' to being dive bombed by bats to her first kiss.
After watching gymnastics in the Olympics this past summer, it was interesting to get an inside look at what gymnasts endure. Scattered through the story, the reader sees what their training is like. Hard and demanding. The gym scenes don't detract from the story but add an interesting element.
One of the funniest parts for me was when Cheyenne sensed Ryan was going to kiss her good night. To make sure her breath didn't reek like garlic, she chews a piece of gum. Right when the kiss is about to happen, she realizes she still has the gum in her mouth. Sorry, you'll have to read the book to see how she handles it.
This story is well written and highly entertaining, showing a glimpse into the life of a sixteen year old girl. Without a doubt, one of the better YA vampire books to come out in a long time.
When I picked this book up to read, I couldn't put it down until it was finished. So, be prepared to put your life on hold.

Not just for YAs
by: VLSpann

My husband (a fan of romance but not of paranormal) and I (not really a fan of either) both read Cave of Terror and LOVED IT! I found myself reading faster and faster, hardly being able to wait to see what happened next.
The story is positive, youthful, funny, suspenseful...I was surprised and pleased to try a different genre and enjoy it so thoroughly.
