Source: Source: John (a regular recipe contributor to BCQ, Queenie D's husband, and a fantastic, self-taught, Italian Chef!)
Ingredients:
- 16 oz Milk Chocolate
- 8 oz White Chocolate
- 2 dozen Fresh Strawberries
You will also need:
- 1 large baking sheet lined with Wax Paper
- 2 large STEEL mixing bowls for dipping
- 2 pots that are smaller width than mixing bowls for boiling water
- 1 large freezer bag for chocolate dribbling
Directions:
Fill one pot half full of water. Heat on medium-high until steaming, slight boil.
Place 1 steel mixing bowl on top of pot.
Break milk chocolate into rough pieces, about 2 inches in size.
Put broken chocolate pieces into mixing bowl.
Once chocolate is melted in bowl, grab fresh strawberry by leafy stem. Dip into chocolate. Then place dipped strawberry onto lined baking sheet.
Repeat this process with all strawberries.
Place finished baking sheet in refrigerator for at least 15 minutes - 2 hours, or until chocolate sets on strawberry.
Repeat above process of melting with white chocolate. Once white chocolate is melted, take dipped strawberries from fridge.
Open freezer bag and pour ALL melted white chocolate in. Close. Cut the tip of the bag just enough so white chocolate will squeeze from hole
lightly when pressed with hands.
Dribble white chocolate over milk chocolate dipped strawberries. Be creative!
Place back in the fridge for at least 15 minutes. Once hardened, cover them with saran wrap. Can be made one day in advance.
Note: If you prefer to reverse the order of white and milk chocolate, just be sure to get the correct amount of each.
