~ Larry Doochin
Author Lawrence Doochin has traveled on a long journey of self discovery. He writes of his own revelations of truth found over a two year period. He tells us how he lived these revelations and they became a part of his long journey of self-discovery.
The message Doochin asks us to take away from his writings is to find God and find love. Once we are able to do so we can truly find our "self."

I am going to start off by saying - this is not a simple book.
That said, let me tell you a little bit about why I feel this way. There is a lot of power and thought behind the words of Lawrence Doochin. He gives us much to ponder. It is this fact that can sometimes create a feeling of confusion. If you've done a large amount of spiritual reading previous to this book, you will most likely have a better understanding of Doochin's message.
Larry's goal is to convey his understanding of God. He wants to show us how to reach and feel simplicity. The explanations are complicated but the honesty and sincere effort to explain things through personal experience is well done. Probably the most meaningful part of the book, for me, is the author's note where Larry simply says that it is tough to understand his message, that he knows some will love it and some will hate it, and without this polar opposite the journey towards faith would not be possible. It's nice to read a spiritual book that is totally honest in saying - this is complicated stuff and you have to figure out how to apply the revelations to your own personal experiences.
This is a great read for a Christian Book Club.
