Being a Christian - more correctly,a spiritual person - I had received several emails how Oprah was the devil for choosing and webcasting a series on this book. What nonsense! I deleted them all - fear is the opposite of faith people!

For no particular reason, I had no intention to read this book. The day the webcast began, I had a strong unction to participate. I even had to make a special trip to get the book and prepare for "class" that night.

This book truly changed my life. If you are ready for it - you will get great meaning and inspiration from it. If you are not, it will make no sense to you.

I learned so much about myself through Eckhart's explanations of why people and places have various issues and conditions surrounding them that don't serve them.

The greatest thing I gained from A New Earth was the ability to identify that the negative things I had learned in my childhood and heard in my mind for years and years are now gone. This book showed me that I had made those things a part of who I am. They were actually part of my identity. They are no longer and my identity is more centered on the essence of God or the Universe or whatever you wish to call it.

Ready for a change? Give this book a good, slow, thoughtful read!
