Girls of Grace Faith vs. Fear by Leah R. Eads

by Leah R. Eads
(Kingman, Arizona)

Hi,
my name is Leah Eads and I am 16 years old. I wrote "Girls of Grace Faith vs. Fear" when I was about fourteen years old for my Christian Girls club. (They are actually the characters in my book!) I had always loved writing and had a cute idea of writing a story for my group of friends as a Christmas present. Then, I had no idea what God had in store for me. My Mom talked to me about submitting it for publication. She and my family strongly believed that what our group of girls, (Christian Girls Club) fell in love with, others might too. My friends also greatly encouraged me. So, we sent it off for publication.

I was extremely excited and couldn't wait to see what would happen. A few months later, we went to the post office and discovered that a package had arrived! We soon realized that it was from a publishing company and I was SO excited. I can not even begin to tell you how awesome it felt to open the letter and realize that I had been accepted. It has truly been a journey from there. My dream is to excite readers in their relationship with Jesus Christ, help them get nearer to Him, and best of all, begin to build a relationship with Him if they have not already.

This book is a work of fiction, (the adventure being made up,) but the characters in it were the inspiration and are very much real. The story begins when we find out that our local Crisis Pregnancy Center is closing for lack of money to keep it running. The pregnancy center helped all kinds of women, (young and older) with unplanned pregnancy's and helped them to realize their potential and worth. This ministry had proven to be a much needed one in the small Arizona town, and when everyone found out that it would close, everyone panicked. No fund raiser, or person alone could come up with the kind of money needed to keep the center open. It was only when a few young girls and their mother's, in the mother daughter club called "Christian Girls Club," open their hearts and allow God to work that they find a solution that takes them on an adventure with God that none of them had ever thought possible.

Through it, they face their deepest fears and realize that with God, all things are possible and they can trust Him no matter what. Whether it be traveling hundreds of miles away to an Island to save a Crisis Pregnancy Center, or simply trusting God in the small things, the girls learn a valuable lesson about trusting God in everything and allowing His plan to unfold, because God's plan, is the perfect plan.

The story unfolds with humor and you'll often find yourself giggling out loud at the way the girls handle a situation.

I hope that you enjoy this book if you read it and are blessed by it!

I know that I feel extremely blessed that God inspired me to write it!
