Hiding behind crazy-colored hair and promiscuous ways, Meg has gotten into some trouble with the law. When the law involves Officer After, her life as she knows it will change. She is forced to ride along in a cop car with Officer After while her classmates are away for Spring Break.
Dreaming for an escape from her hometown, she never imagined that she would experience a life changing week. The issues that the characters in this story have to face are very real. It allows the reader to think about their lives; past, present, and future.
The old saying, "Don't judge a book by its cover" holds true for the characters in this story. There are many issues available that will generate a great book club discussion. It is well written and provides much of food for thought.
