Book Club Queen

Leaving Yesterday by Kathryn Cushman

by Jane Squires
(Wasola, Mo - USA)

Power packed book. I highly recommend. I found myself weeping for joy at the end.
A story that grips you and causes you to want to be there for others who are going through rough times.
Alisa loses one son to death which sets off many problems within the home. I know first hand how young people's lives and finding themselves as it was put to me can impact the home.
A God of second chances is revealed. A Mother who loves her son unconditionally and will go to any lengths to protect him. Forgiveness, renewal, pretending as a Christian and more is revealed.
Shows how tough decisions are not easy but the right one. Sins that are hidden are brought to light.
I could so relate to Alisa when those she thought were her friends weren't there for her. But others were who she did not expect to be.
No matter what you are struggling with you'll be encouraged by this book.
