myLife Framework: A Model for a Successful Life based on Principles of Yoga

Most yoga literature either focuses on philosophy or the physical postures/health. This book attempts to summarize all the yoga knowledge and apply it practically in life. This book summarizes the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Parmhansa Yogananda and Saint Kabir. It discusses fundamental questions on what we want to achieve in life and how to balance ourselves.

The author of this book does not tell you how to live, but instead provides a framework to organize your life. It really is written as a workbook, providing examples of how to center ones life and allowing the reader the freedom to choose what is best for their life.

The Yam-Niyam (Yam - the restrained principle of life, Niyam - the directives for regular practice) yoga basic principles of a good life explained in the book are very easy to follow. The work bucket concept to explain on how to create work buckets of our own life and then build our own life framework is quite convincing and useful.

The work buckets identified by the author include Spirituality, Relationship (family), Health, Finance, Learning, Social contribution and Desire management (fun bucket). A brief chapter is dedicated to each work bucket in the book, keeping the discussion simple, to the point and thus making the reading of these chapters interesting.
