Book Club Queen

Need a great starter book for a new book Club!

by Rebecca
(West Palm Beach, FL)

Hi there! I am starting a book club, and am allowing each person to choose a book each month, and that person will host the dinner at her home. I am the first to choose a book, and I would like to set the tone for the club.

The reason I am letting each person choose each month is so we can have various genres and keep it interesting, and venturing off into a book we might not usually buy for ourselves.

So...any suggestions for a great book for a great group of women, ages 27-35?

Thank you!

The best book club discussion our group ever had was over Jodi Picoult's Nineteen Minutes. Our second best discussion was over Jim Fergus' One Thousand White Women.

Both of these books are thought-provoking with strongly-written characters and controversial discussion possibilities. Great way to start things off!

Be sure to come back and tell us how it goes.

Good luck and Happy reading!
