I read this book and was compelled to keep on reading. I am not a big fan of learning history or reading about things back then but it really gave me a positive outlook on the life I lead.

The poor women in this book were tortured by their lovers and, forgive my slang, but "played" each and every day of their lives. They were no more important to the men in their lives then they were to their families. To the Boleyn's father, his children were all a part of his sick game to move up in society and their mother was no better.

I can't imagine living in their world, bearing a man's child and at the same time being shamed for your promiscuity.

A great read...I give it a 4
