Rebecca- Daphne Dumaurier

I was required to read this book in the 9th grade. I passed with an "A" (thanks to fellow students) with having only read the very first page. BORING.... LAME.... that's what I thought.

10 years later I found myself sobbing in bed on a Sunday trying to finish the book as well as jump to Amazon to order any and all related books.

The second Mrs. Dewinter finds herself somewhat in the shoes of the great Rebecca... I won't spoil but we all could imagine how it might feel to replace a dead wife. Especially when she is so grand....? Evil Mrs. Dewinter is determined to continue with her psychotic memories of Rebecca and her almost sick love for her.

Anyway, I fell in love with each and every character and have read two other books by this author. She also has quite the interesting biography.

LOVED it............ it's a classic. How horrible am I to shame my English teacher in the 9th grade.
