Redeeming Love by Francine Rivers

What an awesome read for Christians and Non-Christians alike. It gives the gospel clearly! As a work of fiction it tells the story of Hosea, a good Godly man who falls in love with a prostitute and how she doesn't see the gift in front of her because her eyes are clouded by hurt and past judgments. Just like us as Christians, sometimes we don't see the godly gift in front of us because we are too busy concentrating on what we think we want or deserve or even our own judgments of ourselves.

Hosea, with God's help, continuously brings her back sometimes kicking and screaming and then... I don't want to ruin the story for anyone who has not read it. I cried, I laughed, I prayed and cried some more! Our God is so good to us! This book brought me back to my love of reading good fiction after I gave it up because of so many trashy books on the market. I have read many of her books and many by other Christian authors but this one I keep coming back to as my all time favorite. I have read it 3 times over the years! I keep giving my copy away and so I have to buy another--it's that good!
