Sarah's Key by Tatiana De Rosnay

by Tammy
(Debary, Florida)

This is one of my very favorite books due to the passion that this little girl had in going back and finding her brother, whom was left behind when the Jews were taken from their homes during the war. Going home can sometimes be the best thing, or the worst thing for a soul. Finding out page by page what this little girl endured was so involving that I couldn't lay the book down. I felt as though I had a front row seat to her emotions and that I was standing next to her when she was taken from her home, due to the exceptional description of every detail. This book is so well written and the story so intensly deep that it stirs feelings in your soul that you may not realize that you had. Your feelings regarding the War may change. Your knowledge of this horrible time for a entire population of people may be a little more than you expected. I recommend this to anyone that asks for a good book to read and as of yet, no one has been disappointed in the story. Although saddened by the "goings on" of the book, I, for one, will never forget, Sarah's Key.
