What happens when a girl that wants for nothing in life, feels like something is missing? Lauren Durough is about to find out. Along the way, she learns more about herself then she ever thought possible.
Book Club Reading Lists: Shape of Mercy Opinion

I believe this book to be one of the greatest stories about love that I have read in a long time. Now, I am not speaking of love in the passionate, romantic sense; just the essence of love.
When Lauren takes the position of transcribing the three hundred year old diary of Mercy Hayworth, a woman who was a part of the Salem Witch Trials, she didn't know what was in store for her. Abigail Boyles hired her for this job, but later found Lauren to be helpful in all aspects of her life.
I will not give the story away, but I will say that it was an amazing book. It was written superbly and I didn't want it to end. The discussions possibilities are almost endless.
Book Club Reading Lists: Shape of Mercy Discussion Questions
---
- Abigail Boyles came across as strict and stubborn at some points during the story. If you were Lauren, would you have taken the position and stayed through to its completion?
- How do you feel about the saying: Money doesn't buy happiness? How was it shown throughout the story?
- Each character in this story played such a significant role, there wasn't anyone that was written in as a filler. Who was your favorite and why?
- Bonus: What would you do for love?
