Sage-ing While Age-ing by Shirley Maclaine

Shirley Maclaine BOOK SYNOPSIS

Writing about "other worlds" along with medical care, politics and the Creator - award winning author and actress, Shirley MacLaine, embarks on her most powerful journey so far.

Spiritual Search for Meaning
MacLaine, in her eleventh book and with a lifetime of researching behind her, has established herself as a deep thinker and fearless questioner of "Why are we Here?" Shirley assures us with hope and trust that we are all connected to something way bigger than our own selves. Having grown older, she relates and reflects on her place in the Universe as she has come to understand it.

The Shirley MacLaine book, Sage-ing While Age-ing is an inspiring look back at her remarkable life lessons both professionally and personally. Shirley shares her own insights into our health and well being. She always explores the things that we can’t see and asks the questions - What is the purpose of our lives? What happens after we die?

She writes extensively on the existence of extraterrestrial's showcasing valid testimonies. President Clinton and Carter have run into a "brick wall" trying to shed light on the government suppression of extraterrestrial life (142). Even Ronald Reagan claims to have seen a UFO and had telepathic communications with an E.T. How has this been kept so secret?

With her usual charming wit, and boldness, this Shirley MacLaine book is truly captivating. MacLaine delves into the Mind-Body-Spirit connection, the Medical/Drug industry, alternative medicine, homeopathy, and Holistic Doctors points of view. She feels she has discovered the truth about our bodies "inner terrain's" which is governed by the digestive system.

QUEENIE B SAYS

As Shirley MacLaine says, "....Dear Reader...Karma - what one puts out, one gets back!” Shirley says her long term memory is her soul's memory so the older she gets the better her soul memory is! Karma again!!

What an exhilarating read!!!

Reading this Shirley MacLaine book, I feel as if Shirley is my best friend, snuggled up on my couch with a cup of hot tea and we are just chatting about life. I've always wanted to meet Shirley MacLaine. I personally am a very deep thinker and I love knowing I’m not alone in this trait I possess. MacLaine assures us deep thinkers with hope and trust that we all are truly connected. This woman is astonishingly, absolutely well read and experienced on the subject of "life and death and what is it anyway?" In her own words she says of herself "...I've had an innocent, bouncy, adolescent slant on life, ---optimistic and maybe even naive" (17).

I find her one of the most fascinating people of the century. She is not so ordinary and at the same time down to earth! After all, she is Out on a Limb! Her words are inspiration to my ears. If you thought of her as ONLY a wry, cagey, redheaded dancer/actress still grabbing those prime movies roles even as a 70 year old - think again! She has visited so many countries and religions, lived and walked with different cultures. You don't have to be a believer, but you have to be an "Open Minder" as Shirley says. This attitude has served her well in being able to embrace the unknown. ".. I’m a searcher for truth, regardless of how bizarre it may sound to others whose imaginations and truths are only different...not right or wrong" (81).

Did you know, Einstein said that the Imagination is more important than knowledge and information? "Is it indeed more "sensible" more "rational," to change our scientific perspective and expand our notions of reality? Should we, awaken our restricted potential as human explorers in this universe, and see that it is rich in meaning and intelligence?" (159)

MacLaine brings us along with her for the travel. This is an intense book and not for the person who sees conformity or whose ego tells them they are the master race.

You don't have to be a believer, but you have to be an "Open Minder" as Shirley says. I think Shirley MacLaine gives respect to the unique and totally unconventional views of life and its mysteries.

Wow what a Shirley MacLaine book! My goal is to interview Shirley MacLaine!
