Book Club Queen

Starting up

Hi! I've just finished my last year of schooling and am waiting to get into uni. I have a 3 months break and I thought this was the best time to start up my own bookclub.

The problem is most of my friends are fed up with reading. I feel really passionate about starting a bookclub. I've already reserved a date and place. How can I make it more attractive? I was thinking of making book choice on theme, for example Horror members pick there own Horror themed book what do you think?

Thanks!

Good job getting ready to start your club! That's the first, hardest step.

You'll need to start by following the Book Club Rules. This will get you on the right track to keeping your club successful long term.

Next, you should choose an enticing book to begin. Try The Girl with the Dragon Tatoo by Stieg Larsson. It's a hit and a movie is coming out in early 2011 which would add an extra reason to read it now.

Be sure to come back and tell us how it goes!

Good luck and Happy reading!
