The Milk Market by Dennis Leger

by Dennis Leger
(Pahrump, NV, USA)

Hundreds of children disappear in this country every year. Most are runaways or victims of custody abduction but many seem to vanish from existence. Where do they go? What happens to the children whose faces appear on our milk cartons? “The Milk Market” weaves a tale of suspense around one of the most frightening possibilities.

Adam Bennett is an arson investigator with a murder case. But an unexpected connection between the murder and a missing child is more than he bargained for-----he becomes the only suspect in the abduction of a young boy.

As he struggles to solve the case, Adam makes a chilling discovery. He learns that some missing children may be victims of a toxic mix of pedophilia and criminal greed called "The Milk Market." With his family and career at risk, Adam's only hope is to team with a renegade Immigration agent who is on a quest of his own.

Although the book’s portrayal of what happens to some missing children is fictional, the daily news teaches us: if it can happen, it often will happen. “The Milk Market” suggests that when lust for children meets greed, there will be children at risk. But the novel explores many other aspects of life including the human spirit to make things right and a hero’s effort to keep his world from unraveling.

Read “The Milk Market” for a thrilling ride on the hero’s journey to restore his reputation and to rescue children victimized by an appalling international crime.
