The Silver and the Cross by Kathleen Mulroy

by Kathleen Mulroy
(Sandpoint, Idaho)

Leora Brown's religious faith will be challenged and her heart captured when she and her father, a minister, move to the silver-mining town of Wallace, Idaho Territory, in 1890.

Handsome Englishman Edward Lycroft is swept away by the lovely and spirited Leora, but despite her attraction to him, she despairs of finding happiness with a man who doesn't share her beliefs.

Can Leora anld Edward find the strength and commitment they need to create a God-centered life together? It will take more than one brush with tragedy to answer that question.

Uplifting, happy!

The Silver and the Cross is an uplifting, quick read with an upbeat romance, with lots of what seems like accurate history of an Idaho territory mining town in 1890. Enjoyed it.
