"The Time Of My Lives" by J. M. Valente
by Jim Valente
A steamy autobiographical account comes to readers as J.M. Valente announces the release of The Time of My Lives, his memoir published through Xlibris. Valente tells the story of his “lives” in a gentle-mannered yet surprisingly riveting narrative on his awkward beginnings, early awakenings, and the various endings in his fast-paced life.
Valente got an awkward start in life, having been diagnosed with polio at the tender age of three. He spent a year and a half of his early life in the hospital. While he did eventually learn to walk, he had to wear leg braces a la Forrest Gump. However, the real page-turning experience for readers begins when Valente discusses his early initiation with the girls, losing his virginity at only thirteen and engaging in booty calls beginning at fourteen. Throughout the memoir, he would continue to divulge juicy details on his sex and romantic life.
However, Valente applies a well-placed pause on that salacious topic as he inserts a somber discussion about family life and their slow loss of his only brother to drugs that eventually got him killed in a car accident. Ultimately, Valente’s quiet yet sincere storytelling renews readers’ attention page after page, keeping them glued with a clever mix of persuasion, enticement, and brave honesty.
As well, ‘The Time of My Lives’ includes songs that fittingly prolong the mood of each chapter or section, which creates the atmosphere that is often found in films.

A Note from Queenie D: Greetings J.M. fans! It's wonderful to see so much supportive feedback for the author and his book.
Some of you may have noticed a bit of drama happening here at Jim's page lately. A woman claiming to be one of the characters in the book left a slanderous comment on Jim's page here in BCQ's Author Zone. She left it anonymously with no contact information for how I, the creator and owner of the site, would be able to reach her. Because I cannot verify her identity or her accusations, I have removed this comment. While we absolutely promote freedom of opinion, we DO NOT in any way, shape, or form allow any author to be lambasted on our site. The Author Zone was created as a place where authors could come and share their work with others. While we do not read every book in the Author Zone, we approve the submissions based on appropriateness for the site. We have found nothing wrong with allowing Jim to promote his book here.
Furthermore, another comment was left by a frequent BCQ visitor, rating the book unfairly without having read it. This comment has been removed as well. To this visitor we say that we'd love to have you back but we would ask that you only comment on books about which you have personal knowledge. This personal knowledge I refer to can only come from reading the book itself.
Please help myself and the team at BCQ encourage Jim to continue his participation and realize that all authors are subject to unfair scrutiny at times. At BCQ we will do our best to keep this drivel off our site.
