Rima has become an orphan in her late twenties. With both her parents and her brother gone, she decides to accept the invitation made by her godmother Addison to stay with her. Addison is a famous mystery writer with a lot of her own secrets. These secrets involve Rima's father during his earlier years. Rima takes it upon herself to distinguish fact from fiction.
| Book Club Reading Lists: Wit's End Opinion |

I could not out this book down. It was like reading a mystery inside of a fiction novel. The characters were developed splendidly. I felt some of the same emotions that Rima was feeling as she was feeling them.
This would make for an interesting book club choice. I believe that mystery books in general would be difficult to pick as a selection because the mystery is solved and there is little room for debate. This book, however, has a bit of mystery tangled into it.

- Rima's father once asked her: "Do you want to be remembered as you were? Or better than you were?" What would your answer be and why?
- "Ice City" was described as a place where the mind went to be free; an imaginative setting. Where is your "Ice City?"
- I was intrigued by the miniature dollhouses that Addison made before writing her books. What do you think about them?
